Custom Cushion Inserts and Foam Replacement
We make replacement cushion inserts for sofas, chairs, benches, sectionals, window seats and patio furniture. This service is useful when the existing covers remain in good condition but the cushions have become compressed, uneven, too soft or no longer support the intended use.
New inserts are built from confirmed dimensions, an existing cover or a usable original insert. The finished fit depends on the accuracy and condition of the cover, so stretched, damaged or incorrectly sized covers may need correction before a replacement insert can be finalized.
Foam and Fill Options
Upholstery foam is available in several comfort levels, from softer back-cushion applications to medium and firm seat support. Foam may be wrapped with Dacron to soften the edges and create a fuller appearance. Depending on the furniture, options may also include a down envelope for a relaxed look or Microloft and other softer fills for certain back cushions.
A down-envelope cushion requires regular reshaping and will not maintain the same crisp profile as a structured foam cushion. No replacement insert is represented as an exact match to the original feel unless the original construction and material can be verified.
The Furniture Support System Matters
Cushion comfort is affected by more than the insert. Deck tension, webbing, springs, frame width, cushion thickness and cover size all change how the foam feels in use. When a new insert alone will not correct the problem, we explain what additional inspection or furniture repair may be necessary.
